Sunglasses..... dupe?

So, we all love dupes right? How about a sunglasses dupe?
Fabulous SS11 Chanel bow sunglasses, retail at £250 source

Enter these babies....

Uncanny huh?!
And for the not so grand price of....

WOW?! Although this probably does slightly hint at my too much of a dupe to be ok theory, especially as the name includes 'Coco'. But who honestly can complain?
Chanel sunnies available here
New Look version available here

The Shoe of my Summer (Already!)

You know what, I am not a 'shoes' girl. Yeah I have some lovely ones, and a great selection of pumps, boots, heels etc. but they just don't get me hot under the collar read: Carrie Bradshaw she ain't. However, I know a good pair of shoes when I see them and believe me with these it was love. I will stop talking and let the shoes do the talking!

Just incase you haven't seen enough of these, here is me 'modelling' them!

Well, do you love them?
I do!!
I love the tan colour, the espadrille-esque detailing, the shape, the straps everything.
I wore these to work on Sunday also and I am happy to report minimal pain! The heel height is around 2 inches, so these babies are perfect for daytime wear.
They are from New Look and cost around €40 (£30-35, I'd imagine) which is kinda pricey. This is completely justified though as these are real leather.
Do you love them?

OOTD #6 - Pretty Neutrals

Do any of you follow Dulce Candy? Well, that's a stupid question, I am sure you all do. Personally, I love her. She was the first YT Guru I ever found and I think I have watched each and every one of her videos. Anyway, she blogs an OOTD almost every day, and the other day, one really caught my eye. (See Here!) I don't know, there was something really pretty about the nudes with denim. I loved it so much so, I attempted to interpret it in my own OOTD!
You must excuse the absolute tip that is my bedroom lately, visitors have taken over in the past couple weeks and I am left with a random single bed in there as well as other junk all over my room :o(
Top: New Look (Current Season) Avaliable here Really love this top, it is a definite nod to the huge 70's trend with the billow sleeves. I love this top so much I actually have it in a bright blue with pinky flowers on too. Such a wearable shape!
Jeggings: New Look They are the actual 'jean' material jeggings, ie. they are jeans minus the button and zipper. I hate the leggings that are basically navy and passed off as "jeggings". My only complaint about these jeggings are the fact that the ankle hole is soooo tiny! I do not have a big foot (I'm a 5.5/6 depending on the shoe), but for some reason my heels are too fat to get in these without brute force. My boyfriend had to pull at these for a good ten minutes to get them on me. However, now after a couple of wears they require much less effort.
How cute are these accessories? I had to do close-ups of them as I think they actually make the outfit, as on Dulce's OOTD.
L: Remember a couple of posts ago here, I said that I was doing so well avoiding 'love' necklaces? Yep, I cracked! I TOTALLY blame the first SATC Movie.. I need that keyring! Come on though, how pretty and detailed is that necklace, and for less than a fiver? Avaliable here. In posting this link I see it is available in other colours. I think I will buy some more, that kind of cute never goes out of style!
R: These leopard print pumps are from Asda would you believe! And, even better, they only cost £3 in the sale. I couldn't find them on the website but there was loads when my mum picked them up for me the other day. They seem sturdy and good quality, which I am pleasantly surprised about. It is still too chilly to commit to wearing pumps here, but they were great and very comfy that day!
Finally, I looove this headband! Sorry the picture quality is appalingly poor at this stage, I think my camera was just about to die on me here! However it is just one of those stretchy band type things in cream with dark brown polka-dots. Ever since I have started backbrushing my hair more often yes I know it is damaging my hair, and yes I know, my hairdresser will kill me! I have been buying many more headbands. This one is from Primark or somewhere, I can't quite remember.
I am very proud of my colour co-ordination in this post :o)
What do you guys think?

PS It's be rude for me not to mention the Groupon deal happening at the moment, for £9 they will send you a £20 ASOS voucher. This is brilliant value! Here is a link to the deal: GROUPON DEAL This is a 'recommend to a friend' type link, and I would receive a small credit if you did use my link. Alternatively just google Groupon :o) However as far as I know, the offer is only on until midnight tonight, and there is a limited amount of vouchers avaliable.
I'm thinking Benefit or maybe a Pauls Boutique purse... what will you spend your voucher on?

OOTN & NOTD

Hello there! :o)
This week is my Uni's RAG week. For those who don't know, RAG stands for Raise and Give. There are numerous charity events on in campus, as well as this year, the world record attempt for the biggest "Rock the Boat" was broken! My boyfriend and I went out last night with friends, and this is what I wore...
The playsuit is from NewLook, and is avaliable here.
Again, I bought this in a size 6, I think the sizes are getting a little bigger at New Look. I could well have got smaller, even!
My nude peep toes are also from New Look, from nearly a year ago now. I would have posted a close-up, but the studs on them have started to come off and they are looking a little worse for wear. I really need to invest in some new ones!
Here is a close up, it has a really cute multi-coloured heart print. It is a little crumpled as you can see, I took the picture the day after I wore it, and I don't have an iron handy!
Now on to the NOTD...
After I returned from my shopping trip with my mum on Saturday, I tweeted that I had got hold of the holy grail du jour in the nail polish world, GOSH Holographic 549.
I picked this up at half price! Amazing, since people have the audacity to sell these on eBay for up to €17 (here if you don't believe me!). I paid €4.25, I believe the full price is €8.50. I am going back on Wednesday to see if there is any more left.
My only complaint is the longevity, it will chip in less than a day. However I am lazy and haven't used a base coat, so I can't really talk! Also, the brush isn't amazing, it is quite small. However, I love how it changes colour when it catches different lights. It keeps me amused anyway!
Love, Hannah xoxo

Stuff I Bought on Saturday

As this Saturday was the first since Christmas I've had off work, it was clearly a cause for celebration. What better way to celebrate than shopping!
First port of call was New Look. Unusually for me, I didn't buy any clothes this time, just some lovely accessories.
TL: I haven't ventured into the scary world of DIY French Manicures for a very long time, however when I spotted this cute little inexpensive kit, I thought I would give it a go, again! I'm thinking French polish with Barry M Pink Iridescent over the top? :o)
TR: 100% plastic and totally tacky, but what can I say, I love! However I didn't realise that the rings had sizes (durrr Hannah!) and I picked up a M/L. It just falls off my finger instantly. I must return it for the smaller size.
BR: Last summer I wore flowers of silly sizes in my hair every day. I somehow remember it all beginning with some this size. Hmm, I should probably keep an eye on the situation! However, they are cute and I love the mint green. Available here.
BL: Lovely little pendant, nice change from the "Love" ones I keep being drawn to inadvertently. Available here.

From Superdrug I bought some body stuff, and some make up stuff too!
L: I've been experiencing really bad eczema on my legs lately, hopefully this E45 lotion instead of the moisturizer I am using currently will help clear it up.
R: If you have read my post on Products I Am Using Right Now, you will have noticed my love for the Original Source shower gels. This smells so zingy (best word I could think of to describe it!), it may be enough to wake me up in the mornings! :o)
L-R Collection 2000 'Extreme 24 hour Felt tip Liner"- I got this because I need to learn how to do the whole eyeliner-on-upper-lashline thing. This looks the simplest tool to practice with! Available here.
Barry M Kohl Pencil in Navy Blue (4)- This actually came free with two other Barry M purchases at Superdrug. Bargain! Available here.
Barry M Shimmering Eye and Lip Crayon in Golden Bronze (7). I'm a little confused by the name, not sure why you would want this colour on your lips! :o) Lovely on eyes though! Avaliable here.
Barry M Blusher in Pink Orchid (1). Pretty pink! Avaliable here.

I will be doing a more thorough review of these make up products very soon! Already I absolutely love the Barry M Eye Crayon.
Let me know what you think, as always I do love a comment! :o)

Payday Treats!

Ok, picture the scene. I had not been paid in over five whole weeks, the last payday being Christmas eve's eve where, naturally enough said paycheck was spent on last minute gifts. So, self sacrificing for the entirety of January until the wonderful moment that my manager informed me that we are not getting paid on the last day of the month as usual, we were getting paid TODAY!
So, I asked myself; "What is a girl to do?".
Instantly, she replied; "SHOP"
Seemed like a reasonable enough suggestion..

As this was an emergency shopping trip, I only had time to make one stop, New Look.
First up, sunglasses. As much as I would love to invest in a pair of designer shades, I have a habit of sitting on them in my car (don't ask), so the cheaper the better! Available here.

As winter is drawing to a close (yippee!), my shearling boots (mentioned here) are in need of replacement. I chose these cute ankle boots, they have a wedge heel and are incredibly comfy! Expect to see these featured in an OOTD soon. Available here.

Finally, I picked up these super purdy earrings. I am a sucker for New Look accessories. On the most part they are good quality, especially for the price! These earrings just screamed out to me, I had no choice but to purchase both pairs. They lean towards this summers huge 70's trend and I absolutely love them! Available here.

I hope you enjoyed my mini-haul here. :o)
What were your payday purchases? Please comment and let me know, or link me to your blog!
Thank you for reading,

The Goodies and Baddies of Winter 2010

As the harsh winter of 2010 is finally lifting and the Spring/Summer collections are gradually appearing, it's finally time to contemplate the products- skincare, clothing, footwear, haircare and make up, that have been my highlights and lowlights of the season :o)

The "Goodies"
The first product is Garnier's Skin Naturals Essentials Day Moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin. Due to the sub-zero temperatures (it hit minus 17 here!), my faithful Olay Beauty Fluid just wasn't enough. As a long time lover of Garnier skincare I am happy to report that this product didn't disappoint! It is rich in texture but light on application with a pleasant, fresh scent. Not bad for a mere £5/€7.50, product available here.

Next, is my footwear staple for the season. As pumps were out of the question due to the weather, and my dislike of ugg boots, these became my go-to footwear for every occasion. They aren't leather, but do not look cheap in the slightest, and after excessive wear (and i mean excessive), the fur detail is still intact, as is the heel tip. A bargain from New Look, £26.99/€35. Similar available here.

I could not make this guide without some recognition to the coat in which I have lived in this winter (hence the rushed picture!). It is a dark tan colour with cute toggle detail in all perfect match to my favorite boots! It came with a fur trim on the hood which I removed. Quite inexpensive at a mere £44.99/€55, again from New Look, available here.

Next is my hair styling must-have, Umberto Giannini's Backcomb in a Bottle. This product is quickly establishing cult status and its not difficult to see why. It is a spray that when applied directly to the roots and "jujjed" (Umberto G's words, not mine!), gives a backcombed effect without the damage resulting from usual the comb and hairspray attack! It is not heavy or greasy and is really a star for those days when a little volume is required. Avaliable from Boots for £5.61, here.

The "Baddies"
I have been mostly sensible with my purchases this season so big mistakes have been few and far between. However this product turned out to be a major dissapointment. It is a Calvin Klein cosmetics Fully Delicious plumping Lip Gloss in Enchanted. It ticked all the boxes, light, glittery, sheer, PINK! Until this major fail...

The gloss came without any funnel type insert to wipe away the excess, and it is unusable (trust me- I've tried!).

Finally, my biggest disaster of the season...

Yup, like many others before me I fell for the "see, grab, buy" philosophy of Primark clothing and footwear, and I was stung, badly. See, I have been looking for simple suede boots with a small heel since last winter, but to no avail until a trip to Primark where I snapped up these boots in tan (pictured here), black and grey. I know that £15/€17 isn't expensive for boots this cute, however it turns into a pretty expensive mistake when this happens...

This happened to my grey pair after just one ten minute walk to college. Like any sane person I took them off and brought them straight to a cobbler who told me that the material is too poor to attach a new tip to. I had been wearing the tan and black pairs that week already with no problems so I just returned the grey. By the end of that fortnight though, the others had a similar fate (as above) but as the return deadline had expired, I wasn't offered a refund or even credit note- although they are quite obviously faulty! Also, it's not just my pair or a faulty batch, many of my friends have had similar problems. Previously complained about here.

Also, just to let you know, I've joined Blog Lovin' !
Happy New Year everyone!

OOTD #3: Christmas Day

Hi everyone!
Well it's that gap in Christmas day after the excitement of all the dinner and before the good TV starts. My family are all watching a movie on TV so I decided to take the opportunity to post a blog! :o)
Here is what I wore today, Christmas day...
**CLOTHING**
Here is the top, a turquoise chiffon Pussy Bow blouse from New Look, priced €29.99. Similar found here.
I purchased these boots from Asda, found here. Not only are they incredibly season appropriate and stylish, they are made from a lovely soft grey leather-type material. Also, they are comfy and have a very cute leopard print lining!
**ACCESSORIES**
These silver bracelets (above) are a set from New Look and the gold and red was a Christmas present.

**FACE AND HAIR**
Santa brought me a set of Babyliss Thermo Ceramic rollers and with this (and my first attempt) I was able to achieve BIG bouncy curls. I have struggled for ages to be able to get a good curl to my hair but to no avail. I have tried curling tongs, GHD's and velcro rollers, none of which have worked for me, hopefully this will solve my problem!
My make up consisted of:
Cheeks: Benefit Posie Tint
Lips: MeMeMe Pussy Cat tint
Face: No7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation in Tan
Eyes: L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara and Eyeliner

A very MERRY Christmas to all that celebrate it!
Can't wait to make more blogs in the new year :o)
Love H xxxxx
