Aussie Lusciously Light Summer Soiree!!!

Last Saturday was the date of the much anticipated Aussie Summer Party for the Lusciously Light conditioners! It was held in a beautiful studio in Ladbroke Grove, London, and there was soo much to do.
I met two lovely girls when I arrived, Pippa and Alice so me and my friend Louise stuck with them for the day.
Lou, me, Alice
There was so much to see and do, first up was champagne tasting! Yum!
Plus a yummy candyfloss machine!!
Candyfloss and Champagne! Possibly the best combination ever?

The lovely Miss Holly and I :o)
Most exciting of all though was the amazing Aussie hairdressers on hand ready to transform your hair into whatever you please!
I actually didn't get my hair done as I had already curled it that morning, but I was happy to watch everyone else! There was some amazing hairstyling going on!
Pippa getting her hair done!

Lou getting her hair done too :o)

How AMAZING?!

You may be wondering what all of the hairstyling was in aid of, well....
Aussie had a whole photo studio set up for us all to pose away and get some gorgeous pics taken! I had never had photos taken professionally before so to say that I was excited would be a huge understatement! :o)

In all, thank you so much Aussie - especially Emma and Holly for such a fantastic day and experience!
You may have already seen that my Twitter pic is one of the pictures that was taken on the day, but I will post some more of the snaps tomorrow. Otherwise this would be a super picture heavy post!

Love H xoxo

Tomorrow will be a Tanning Tuesday post, but expect a full rundown of the event on Wednesday, plus a London Haul over on my YT channel by the end of the week! Oh, and a 'Whats in my travel makeup bag- London edition' which is currently uploading to my YT, unfortunately we are experiencing some technical difficulties (nothing new there then!). **UPDATE: Video is now live!** Exciting stuff!

Hair-spiration? Please!?

As part of Aussies Lusciously Lighter Style challenge, I am off to the hairdressers on Monday to have a style overhaul! To prepare me for this, the lovely Aussie people have sent me a few wigs to help me 'break out of my comfort zone' and try something different!
Here are a few ideas...
Dolly Parton/ Sandy from 'Grease'

??? I look like my auntie here!

The 'Pob'!
So there you have it! Three completely different looks, but I am only having one makeover!
What do you all think?
Brunette? Stay blonde? Something else?
Long? Short? Somewhere in between?

I reaaaally need your help as my appointment is on Monday and I don't know what I want to do with my hair!

This is me with my real hair, if you forgot what I look like! 'Hello Roots!'
I have added a poll to the top right-hand side, so vote!!
All opinions are welcome, I would love to know what you guys think will Lighten Up My Style!
Thanks again guys!

Hello Mr.Postman!

So, if you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I am super excited to have gotten a PayPal account..finally! If any of you were wondering, I got a 3V card which you can top up and then use online as a Visa card. I topped up mine by €50 to try it out and I may have spent it all already. Oops!
Anyway here are some goodies that got delivered today:
The Carmex isn't very exciting, but I bought it as on ASOS my transaction had to come to £20 to use my Diet Coke code for a fiver off. I love the cherry flavour, although I wish I had been more adventurous and gone for the mint.
Next I got my very first Benefit lipstick in the shade 'Nice Knickers'. I have managed to cut off the top of the picture here but it is a sheer raspberry red. There will definitely be a Lipstick Lover Review about this very soon!
Next was another 'first', my first purchase from Illamasqua. I have heard quite a lot about this brand lately, especially their Lipglosses. It is an Intense Lipgloss in 'Indulge'. These look incredibly pigmented from my pre-purchase research and I honestly don't have a neon pink like this in my slightly extensive lip gloss collection. I really think this is going to be a winner! I love it already.
That is all that I bought from ASOS, just thought I'd let you all know that you can use your Diet Coke vouchers on sale items. It was a pleasant surprise for me when I was checking out!

Today I also got a very exciting package from the lovely Karen from Band of Blushers (check out her blog, it's fabbo!). It is a NARS lipgloss in 'Orgasm', I am really hoping that it will match my much loved Orgasm blusher

Also I must mention the extremely exciting package that I received from Aussie on Friday!
As I am an honorary Aussie Angel, I was asked to take part in their Lusciously Lighter challenge- I chose 'Style' which will involve me trying out some potential hairstyles for a style overhaul! They also gave me a bottle of their Luscious Long Conditioner which I will be trying out very soon.

What do you think of my  purchases?
H xoxo
PS. What do you think of my Blog layout change? I love it!
PPS. I am thinking of starting a continuous Blog sale page featuring make up and some clothing, let me know if that is something you may be interested in.

Put a Spring in your Spring! Tell us, how would you lighten up your life? #AussieLight

Lets face it, times are tough at the moment. Natural disasters, crumbling economies and corrupt governments worldwide, to name but a few things that could make you cry into your cereal every morning.
However, I find that the best way to put a spring in my Spring and a smile on my face is to embrace the little things...

Smile at little kids,
Pop a few quid in a charity box,
Wear that daring lipstick and be bold,
Dance around your room when you are getting ready in the morning,
Hug your mum, just because,
Eat that last chocolate,
Embrace your hair sins and nourish them accordingly,
Spare a thought for those less fortunate <3
Play your favourite 90's pop music in your car and belt out those lyrics you thought you forgot long ago,
Love that the daffodils are growing everywhere as a sure sign of Spring!

And when you have smiled, popped, worn, danced, hugged, eaten, spared a thought, embraced, played and loved, you may just find that something special has happened, yep a spring is in your Spring!
You best believe I drew a halo on my head!
Above is a visual representation of me as a potential Aussie Angel :o)
In order to put a Spring in My Spring I have been combating my hair sins (to become an angel, see!).
Miracle Moist Shampoo because my hair is highlighted and it can be quite dry.
Volume Conditioner because I like BIG hair.
Take the Heat 3-minute miracle because I am a fiend with my GHD's and my hair needs some TLC!

And if you ever feel down remember something very important...
'There is more to life than hair but it is a good place to start' -Aussie Philosophy
